SkinPen is a medical-grade microneedling treatment which uses fine needles to create safe, controlled micro-injuries in the skin. What to Expect
Patients tolerate SkinPen well, reporting a mild sensation of tingling or pressure. You can return to your usual activities right after treatment, with minor restrictions. Most clients report 24 hours of mild swelling and redness, followed by 48 hours of mildly inflamed skin.
How Long It Lasts
SkinPen benefits are seen in a few days, with peak results seen at 4-6 weeks and continuing for almost one full year based on ultrasound studies! Collagen and elastin production peaks at 4-6 weeks, then remains steady for 3 months, slowly decreasing in production over 12 months.
A series of 3 monthly treatments is recommended to re-build the skin layers, followed by 1 treatment every 6-12 months, depending on your goals.
